New Feature Optimizes Parlé Beamtracking Microphones to Eliminate Challenges of Traditional Presenter Mics
BEAVERTON, Ore. And ORLANDO – June 2025 – Biamp, a leading provider of professional audiovisual (AV) solutions, recently introduced Parlé Presenter Lift, which uses ceiling mounted Parlé microphones to pick up and reinforce presenter voices without the need for conventional podium, handheld, or over ear microphones. Parlé Presenter Lift uses Parlé beam forming microphones combined with sophisticated signal processing to improve gain, while suppressing feedback, to give presenters all the benefits of traditional presenter mics with none of the hassles.
Parlé Presenter Lift amplifies and projects the presenter’s voice in auditoriums and presentation spaces of all sizes—including classrooms, divisible rooms, multi-purpose rooms, training rooms, and lecture theaters—from overhead, allowing presenters to sound great while moving freely around the stage, with nothing connected to their clothing or body. Parlé Presenter Lift is enabled by precisely locking Parlé ceiling microphone audio beams to better control sound pickup. Paired with a new algorithm inside Tesira digital signal processors (DSPs) that improves feedback suppression, these features enhance the capability of current Parlé ceiling microphones and Tesira DSPs to address more complex use cases and room configurations.
“Conventional presenter microphones have numerous shortcomings. Parlé Presenter Lift solves these issues by allowing presenters to project crystal-clear audio in all types of spaces, without any cumbersome devices,” said Joe Andrulis, Executive Vice President of Corporate Development, Biamp. “Organizations can forgo the need for complex audio production and setup, providing an extraordinary experience for both presenters and audience members alike.”
Parlé Presenter Lift amplifies presenter audio as speakers move around on stage without requiring additional equipment. This hands-free solution makes it easy to switch presenters since there are no microphones to hand off, and it works at a moment’s notice with no complicated event setup or audio production required after initial installation. In contrast, traditional presenter audio reinforcement requires handheld or worn microphones, which have issues with usage, connectivity, and typically require an operator to run the room.
To address the complexities of designing auditorium solutions, Biamp has also updated its classroom design tool to automate microphone placement within auditoriums and large presentation spaces. Presentation Designer further optimizes presenter voice lift with a guided design process to easily plan the system requirements.
Attendees were able to experience firsthand the Parlé Beamtracking Microphones at the Biamp booth during InfoComm 2025, June 11-13. At the Biamp Audio Demo Room (W224A), visitors also experienced the full impact of industry-leading loudspeakers in their native environments including the power of asymmetry. Smart, application-driven loudspeaker design ensures every seat is the best seat – with better performance and lower cost.
